Guidelines for authors preparing manuscripts for IJSIGMA

Submission Process

Prepare Your Manuscript

Ensure your manuscript follows our formatting guidelines and includes all required sections.

Submit Online

Create an account on our submission portal and upload your manuscript with all supplementary materials.

Peer Review

Your manuscript will undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts.

Revision & Publication

Address reviewer comments, submit revisions, and upon acceptance, your article will be published online.

Manuscript Preparation

Article Types

Original Research Articles

Full-length articles (6,000-8,000 words) presenting original research findings.

Review Articles

Comprehensive reviews (8,000-10,000 words) of current state of knowledge in specific areas.

Short Communications

Brief reports (2,000-3,000 words) of significant preliminary findings or novel methodologies.

Required Sections

  • Title Page: Title, authors, affiliations, corresponding author details, keywords
  • Abstract: 200-250 words summarizing objectives, methods, results, and conclusions
  • Introduction: Background, research gap, objectives, and significance
  • Methodology: Detailed description of methods, data, and analytical procedures
  • Results: Presentation of findings with appropriate tables and figures
  • Discussion: Interpretation of results, limitations, and implications
  • Conclusions: Main findings and future research directions
  • References: All cited works in APA format

Formatting Requirements

  • • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX
  • • Line spacing: Double-spaced throughout
  • • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • • Page numbers: Consecutive, centered at bottom
  • • Figures: High resolution (minimum 300 dpi), submitted as separate files
  • • Tables: Editable format, numbered consecutively
  • • Equations: Numbered and properly formatted

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Standard APC: $1,200 USD

Covers editorial processing, peer review management, copyediting, typesetting, and hosting.

Waivers available for authors from low-income countries (based on World Bank classification)
Discounts available for institutional members and early career researchers
APC charged only upon acceptance, not at submission

All articles published in IJSIGMA are open access and distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal right of first publication.
